1. Keep them in your team.
2. Making them hold the Soothe Bell.
3. Giving them berries that increase happiness.
4. Giving them medicine uppers, such as HP Up, or Carbos.
5. Rare candies are always good.
6. Training them and not letting them lose.

With these things in mind, your Pokemon will be your best friend =]

You can take a long strool (10,000 steps), battle, use items like Protein and Carbos, use certain berries like Kelpsy berries, go to the massage lady in Veilstone City or the Spa in the Resort Area once you have a Pokemon with 10 ribbons. Don't let him faint or use herbal medicine. Always have a sooth bell attatched when you want to make Pokemon Happy. Also catch Pokemon with the Luxary Ball.
