How do you use the code to max out evs with one item? I put in the code and it didn't work. Do I have to press L+R?

During gameplay (this is for every one new to AR) press L+R to activate it with your AR in the game
P.s. AR means Action Replay

The cheat you read should show in the description how to activate it. If it says that you have to press L and R then so do it.
Usually most codes must be activated by pressing certain combinations of buttons.
