Go underground and dig a Skull Fossil and dude, Cranidos is only Rock type.

Dig up the Skull Fossil underground, first.
Then, go to the museum in Oreburgh and give the fossil to the guy behind the counter. Exit the place and go back in, with an extra slot in your team, for the Cranidos.

In the underground the fossil are pretty rare, then you take to the museuam and get the pokemon. That guy only appears in Diamond just a little side note.
