I would say that if you have the national dex...
Get Umbreon! Umbreons defense is really good and it is one of the better dark pokemon. To get it you have to get a eevee (from Bebe or from the back of the Pokemon mansion) and get it to like you. Then train it at night.
If you don't have the national dex get sneasel which is located near snowpoint city!
P.S put eevee in the daycare with ditto and then you will get a eevee egg. Hatch the egg and give your eevee a berry(like greppa) and give it to it. It makes a Pokemon more friendly. Don't worry about it saying that it will lower the Attack,defense, ect. Stat because if you eevee is on level 1 it won't go any lower! :-)

There aren't many good Dark Pok�mon, but try and shoot for Umbreon, Honchkrow or Spiritomb.

There are a few good ones
Like umbreon, absol, arceus (with a dark plate, darkrai (if you can get it)
