First off, update the software. After that, make a code list under the 'My Codelists' section of the program. Next, click and drag the game you want to edit on the computer, like Pokemon Diamond or Pearl. After you do that, right click the list of codes. You will get a list of things you can do to the code list. Go and click on the 'Add New Cheat' button. A new window will pop up with two text boxes. One saying for you to write the cheat's name and the other box having to do with the acctuall code. Once that's settled, open up your internet(you can do this before you do any of the previous steps) and go to the desired cheat website. Once you're there, highlight the code values then copy the code. Go back to the Action Replay Manager Screen and paste the code into the text box. Hit the 'OK' button and you're done!
