Question for Pokemon Diamond

Hey I've been looking around but still havent confermed if all of the events like in Emerald you got Mew with the Old Sea Chard and Deoxes with the Arora Ticket you can do these events over Wi-Fi.I heard people where getting mad that they couldn't make the events so they are putting them all on Wi-Fi but this has never been confermed.Can anyone tell me if this is true.If it is when and how do you do the events.
