Infrenape is arguably the best, yet all of the starter of this geniration are good and they can all be beaten bye each other. I personall like torterra and empoleon better than infrenape. Although infrenape learns more move than either of the others. Decide which one you like best and withj all the Pokemon there are now you will be able to make a very good team, so this geniration it is up to you what other poekmon you like and not just the starter, becasue all of them are good. Im still thing you should get infernape even though I will not.
I would personally go with the water starter, though I am not 100% sure the order, or types of gyms that come, though it seems, the water, is also an ice Pokemon, so it would learn ice moves, that could be powerfull against more then one type of pokemon. I would recomend going with the water/ice one, though you can always restart early in the game, and pick a diffrent starter instead of that one.
Infernape is a very good Pokemon. There is no best. For reasons being, Infernape is Fire/Fighting, while Empoleon is Water/Steel, meaning Infernape can use any Fighting moves to take out Empoleon. Infernape also can use a Fire move to take out Torterra, meaning in theory, Infernape is a better choice.
Well, welcome to the club; I am confused about this also. ED made a good point about the Infernape thing, What I'm going to do is go through the game with Chimchar and Piplup to see which one goes throughout the game better. However, Empoleon has a whole lot of resistances, but ED still has a point and Infernapes cooler.
Ok I will choose infernape because I will have also manaphy from my Pokemon ranger
It mostly depends on which Pokemon you catch. I agree with it being easy to get a good team with this game, but not if all your Pokemon are the same type. For example, if you get Piplup, don't get a whole bunch of water Pokemon, although one more wouldn't be bad. If you plan on catching a certain type don't get that type starter unless you absolutly have to. I'm having a lot of trouble choosing too.
Both are really cool. I would recommend Empeleon because it's awsome to have a water/steel pokemon. Besudes, you can always transfer Blaziken with Pal Park. Blaziken is the same type as Inferape.
It's an arguable decision but, here is the point.if you want a good Pokemon that has a very strong attack pick chimchar. If you want a Pokemon that is in between chinchar and piplup, pick turtwig.and if you want a good defence Pokemon, pick piplup.i picked piplup because I raised it to battle both attck and defence.now empoleon is lvl 100(without cheats)and here are the moves it's learned.agility(to make up for the slow speed it has),hydro pump(a good strong attack against everything),bubblebeam(a main attack. Easy powerfull, and simple to use),and drill peck(for anything thats grass, water, and fighting).i have battled in wi-fi and never lost a battle(i lied. I only lost 2)i only use the steel part of empoleon for it's super defence.of all the infernapes and torterras I've been up against, if lost to 1 torterra never an infernape.
Hey espeondude, empoleon can take out infernape with drill peck and torterra with ice beam.
