Charizard...the monkey could be ok but I think he's part fire and figthing..making him vurnurable to psychic...i'm not sure...since the stats and the move's are new and changed, we can't be sure whos the best fire type of all.

I would have to say that the best Fire type would be Hiidoran. It is Fire/ Steel, and it's ability prevents it from getting hit by fire attacks. So the Steel vulnerability to Fire has been taken away.

Well, in the 4th generation, there are only 4 fire type pokemon.
The 1st 3 are the one of the starters and it's evolved forms.
(The 1st one is the only one that's in english)
They are Chimchar, Moukazaru, Goukazaru.
And the final one is called Buuburn, which is the evolved form of Magmar.

Magmortar definitely. With it's epic 540 stat total it's a force to be reckoned with. You get it by: put in a leaf green version into your ds, go to route 227 or stark mountain, you should eventually find a magby there, have magby reach lvl 30 for magmar then trade while magmar is holding a magmarizer. You get a magmarizer by catching a bunch of magbys and if you're playing on diamond there is a 5% chance that one will be holding it, 50% in pearl.
