Question for Pokemon Diamond

I just purchased Pokemon diamond for my Nintendo ds and it has another player already logged onto disc with a badge and 22 on pokedex I have tried everyones advice on resetting (L+R+start+select) all this does is recycle game and restart to same player logged and when I try start new game it says press Up+select+B to erase which just takes you back to previous screen again with other member

Try doing this at the start up screen where it says press start with a picture of dialga
