Question for Pokemon Diamond

Why in my Pokemon diamond trophy garden manager who tells different Pokemon can be found in his garden is not telling new Pokemon after I defeated the Pokemon eevee which he told

He will only tell you about one Pokemon per day so if you catch or defeat the one he was talking about then he wont talk about another one until the next day. If you are searching for a certain Pokemon like eevee for instance then if you save before you talk to him you can ask him until he says he saw an eevee. Just save before you go in the room and then restart the game and keep asking. Hope I helped
