I have the national pokedex but how do I use it it's not working I can't find Pokemon with it

The National Pokedex works on it's own. After you have obtained the National Pokedex, you can find new Pokemon (Example: Tauros on Route 209 by use of Pokeradar). You can also find the other Legendary Pokemon. New areas such as the Resort Area and the Survival Area are now open. As you can see, you get to do a lot of stuff with the National Pokedex.
