Can someone please tell me how to get shiny pokemon?

My classmate found one before. He told me that shiny Pokemon are rare and he was so lucky he caught one. It's just a matter of luck I guess. Sorry I'm not much of a help.

They're extremely rare. You could always use an action replay to get them

If you want to know how to without hacking then...
Using the pokeradar. If you are able to chain up to 40 of the same Pokemon using the pokeradar, your chances of getting that Pokemon shiny will increase.
You could always look up guides on how to use the Pokeradar properly.
