What does the Secret ID do?
Also when you make a code if you don't put an SID doesn't the program do it for you?

The secret ID is used to tell the game whether you own the Pokemon or not. Sometimes people have the same ID number, so the game can't run by that. You'll notice, if you hack a game without inserting your secret ID, the game will say you obtained the Pokemon in a trade (I.E. "Apparently met at
If you don't put the Secret ID in, then no, it will not put it in for you, and the Pokemon will not appear to be yours.
