Stand in a patch of grass. Use it, and you will see some grass rustling. It will sometimes be a rare pokemon. It may also be shiny but that is even rarer. You will find a shiny Pokemon when you see some grass, well, shining. Take note that you can only use the Pokeradar again after you take 50 steps after using it.

Go into a grassy patch then click use on the pokeradar. Then you will see rustling or shining grass. Go into these, it wont always be a rare Pokemon though. You have to walk 50 steps in between uses.

You stand in a grass patch then you select it in your bag and press 'use'. Some grassy patches will shake and when you enter them a Pokemon will be encountered. For more details, check the walkthroughs.

It is simple man. Just make sure your walking not riding your bike. Go in a patch of grass and use it and watch the grass move.you need to recharge it after you use it once by walking,running,bike riding around 50 steps.
