Can someone please tell me what the heck is the difference between a cherish ball and a regular pokeball and what does a cherish ball do?i have the code for 999 cherish balls.

Their is no real difference. Cherish Balls, though, are used to hand out event Pokemon and Event Pokemon only.

You get those if you have got a Event Pokemon thats the ball they say they got caught by

There is none, although Pokemon you get through events through Nintendo Events will be caught in Cherrish Balls.
