How do you register your own friend code in Pokemon diamond?



Comment:(Sep 7 2008) Thank you for the information. I have been to ninendo.com and downloaded the manuel and followed the directions which are the same as what you said. However, I am unable to connect at home using my balkin nano wireless router nor was i able to connect when i went out to two WIfi hotspots in my community. Needeless to say, the Pokemon Diamond player is very fusterated about not being able to get a friend code when friends are providing theirs. Today, I am going to attempt to follow the directions for manually setting up connection. which me luck. Thank you for your directions they were clear and easy to follow. :-)

All you have to do is connect to WiFi using a "Nintendo WiFi USB Connector", or a Wireless Router. Once you do, you'll get your Friend Code. To check your Friend Code, go to the Pal Pad which should be in your Key Items pocket if you've gotten it. Then select "My Friend Code". And there's your Friend Code.

You need wi-fi first, then you need to go to the basement of the Pokemon center.
