Ok, I know it's a stupid question...but, where do I get a ditto?

You can get him by useing the pokeradar right outside Canalave City, in the patch of grass.

There's a route to the right of Canalave. Use the Pokeradar there. You can find a Ditto. They're rare to find, and prety hard to catch. Good luck!
