I believe I remember how to get the key. After you whitness the earthquake while in Canalave City, go to the Team Galatic building. You should see a grunt by the entrance. Battle him; He runs off after you beat him, and what do you think he's stupid enough to do? Drop the key. If that's not it, then I don't exactly remember.

Well to find the key, you need to enter the building of Team Galatic hideout and if you go a bit in the building you shall find the key in the building. Also try and sneak around the guards so you don't get caught and having to battle. I hoped this helped.

its hiding in the team galactic building

you have to go to vielstone city and go to the big team galactic building and talk to the grunt and after you battle him he runs away and guess what? he drops the key! After you got the key you go to the team galactic warehouse and you battle all the grunts.Also you will get a dusk ball.And after you go to mt coronet and the paintings there are gonna gone and at the top you wil find the spear piller and that awakens DIAGLA!!!!! I Hope i helped you
