Emulator cheats help

How /exactly/ do I enter the cheats? Do I enter them before the game is loaded, like at which screen, etc? And when do I press L+R or whatever? What if it doesn't work? Etcetc, help please?

For the emulator, it doesn't matter when you enter the codes. To enter a cheat copy the code and paste it in the big box, and enter a description (optional) in the text box below. Then select the Action Replay option and press ok. For the L+R codes you can press the buttons when you want. The only one I can think of that could not work whenever you want is the infinite money code. For this one press L+R when you're not trying to buy/sell anything (not that it crashes the game or anything it's just that the amount of money won't change to max - at least it doesn't with me)
