Your question is a matter of opinion, I have played both and liked both equally, so all I can tell you to do is to examine both Diagla and Palkia and pick the game with the mascot that you would like better since it will be obtainable in only that game.

Your question is really a matter of opinion. If you like Dialga more than Palkia, choose Diamond. If the other way around, choose Pearl.
