I am sorry to tell you this, but I do know whether or not this rumor is real or not. If I remember correctly though, there was a certain slot machine in Pokemon Emerald that gave out more coins than all the others, so I could see how they would do the same thing in Pokemon Diamond. So, while I do not know if it is true, I think that there is a big possibility that the slot machine might give out more coins. You just need to find out which one it is.
