When should I start EV training my pokemon? Should I do it in the begining or end?

If I do it in the begining than I have to avoid most trainer battles due to unnecessary EV that the defeated Pokemon will give my EV pokemon...

I think that you should start EV training your Pokemon near the middle of the game. That way, you can battle certain trainers with your Pokemon that you are EV training, and battle the rest of the trainers with your other Pokemon. That way, every single Pokemon can still get some training in, and continue to level up. Also, if you start near the middle, your Pokemon's other stats will not be as low as they would be if you started in the beginning. So, yeah, I suggest that you just play the game right now, fighting everyone. Later on in the game, you start your EV training.

Hope this helps.

Now what I suggest throughout the game is having a team full of Pokemon with various uses. Youll have your starter for example, who is likely taking on most of the random trainers throughout the game, so it is near impossible to sucessfully EV train it. You will also have various Pokemon with HM and such which you have to level just so they keep up, it maybe is not so important to EV train these guys. What I do is usually when I have gained access to majority of areas and Pokemon I will choose my team to take on the elite 4 and usually use 2-4 Pokemon from me team that took me through the story of the game and add another 2-4 Pokemon which I have painstakingly EV trained specifically for rocking the elite 4 and those later on as well.
After this I may go as far as breeding my starter and those not perfectly EV trained and EV train the progeny. I will also EV train anything else from here on.
I hope that gives you some help, remember while EVs can make a good Pokemon great your Pokemon will still be good and you should have no problem beating the gym leaders and elite 4 without EV as long as you can battle well and have a balanced team.

I think you should train your Pokemon when it's fully evoleved and it's level is around 40 or 45. (I recomend that you train around this level because if you go to high in level you can't ev train or even give it protein and all that good stuff and it's the same way when it's a new born.)When ev training NEVER LET IT HAVE PROTEIN or the other stuff because it's not good for the Pokemon.... Well not that good at least. With ev training stats will go from 5 into the 20 beleive it or not. Amd one more thing don't ev train with trainers it wont work out yoyr Pokemon because trainers give out to much exp. So battle wild Pokemon and not tuff ones that will give you alot of exp. If you didnt know the more you battle the more points you get for that stat. I hope you liked what I said Smile.
