Well, to get Pokerus you need to go out into the wild and just fight a whole bunch of Pokemon. If you are lucky, then the Twentieth Pokemon that you fight might spread the Pokerus infection over to your Pokemon. Notice that I said the word 'if' and I stress that word because it can take a very long while before your Pokemon gets infected with Pokerus. I think that the chance of getting Pokerus is even higher than the chances of catching a Shiny Pokemon, so if you do not get Pokerus then do not worry about it, it is bound to happen sometime. You can tell when you are infected with the Pokerus virus because when you go to heal your Pokemon, the nurse will say that they are infected and that you should take advantage of this wonderful oppurtunity.

Basically if you get lucky you will battle a wild Pokemon from which your Pokemon can get pokerus. It is totally by chance and extremely rare, so don't hold your breathe or lose sleep over it cause it will probably only happen when you least expect it to.

There is a very slim chance you will get the virus. You get it if you batlle a Pokemon with the virus and your Pokemon gets infected. My Pokemon got while I was training it and I went to th Pokemon center and they tell you everything you need to now about it. What I would do is just go and train your Pokemon andchances are you will get the virus.

Pokerus is just a chance thing like us humans get a cold every now and then so it's just like that on the game. I hoped this helps.
