How do you get darkrai on diamond without a cheat device or nintendo event? My friend said he walked randomly around sunyshore city and it appeared to him.

Well your 'friend' totally lied to you. Without cheatin or a nintendo event there is absolutely no way to get darkrai.
Mind you, getting it in a trade through the GTS is possible... But it requires you to have darkrai in your pokedex, which is most likely facilitated by... You guessed it cheating or nintendo event. Your friend probably told you that to avoid telling you he got an AR or to get you to waste hours upon hours walking around sunnyshore city

The only way you can get a darkrai is through a nintendo event, or by cheating,(using a ar) so your friend is'nt telling you the truth, also you can keep up with nintendo events on nintendos web site, so you might want to look there to see if one is coming near you.

Wow...your friend is going to get it when you realize what he told you was a big lie. Like David said, there is no way to get your hands on a Darkrai without cheating or going to an Nintendo Event unless you somehow find someone who is willing to trade their Darkrai with you. And the odds of them wanting to trade it to you are going to be slim to none. Wanna know how they got their Darkrai though? Through use of an Action Replay, or Gameshark cheat device, it is the only way to get Darkrai. No matter how much we wish it were possible, legendary Pokemon will not just up randomly in the middle of a city. So you are out of luck. :(

Everyone's right your friend lied.I don't think he got in a Nintendo event I think he got an Action Replay and he didn't tell you. You've got to tell him and he'll apoligize or prove it.

Your friend is totally lying to you! Absolutely no way this would ever happen without a cheat. Tell him Mitsu says he is a big fat liar! He knows he is lying! *grins cheekily*
If you really want it, you will have to cheat because the nintendo events are rare as hens teeth and I think they are actually all over.

MAN!!!Your friend LIED!!!Maybe he wanted to brag or whatever......ANYWAY!!!You need an action replay code OR a nintendo event to get Darkrai.I want him too but you should just go get an acton replay thing or whatever...

It IS possible! You just have to have two DS's and Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. There's a Special Mission you can do any time through WI-FI AFTER you finish the game. You transfer to Pearl or Diamond and BOOM! You have Darkrai.
