Ok so what are badges and how do you get them? I can't figure out how to and I want to go to sunyshore city

Hey
Badges are rewards you get when you defeat a gymleader
So, they are just badges. Any way there is one way to get them and that is by beating gym leaders. Gym leaders are located in main town such as oreburgh(excuse the spelling)and floaroma town. Sometime you have to do certain things to get to te gym leader like turn switches on and off.
One thing remember this is important, each time the battles get harder and the Pokemon are stronger so when you are on your way make sure you battle and lvl up your own Pokemon I sumtimes arent strong enough to beat them so I have to go bake to wild and lvl up which is really annoying
to get to sunyshore city you need to have beaten all 7 gymleaders then the path should be open for you to go through

It's just the badges you win after defeating a gym leader... You may already have 7 if you are near going to sunyshore... Have a look at your trainer id card (it will be your name in your options menu) and on the bottom screen of your DS, there will be a picture of all the Sinnoh gymleaders. And a button. This is your badge case. Press the button on the touch screen and the case opens... There are your gym badges! They might be a bit dirty, so give them a bit of a polish by touching them! Make them sparkle!

You obtain badges from gym leaders you defeat. There are eight gym leaders in Sinnoh, in total. From each gym leader you defeat, you obtain a gym badge. Once you have all eight, you're allowed to battle the Elite Four.
This is the order in which gyms are located (from first to eighth): Oreburgh, Eterna, Veilstone, Pastoria, Hearthome, Canalave, Snowpoint, and Sunnyshore.
So, to get to Sunnyshore City, you need to obtain the first seven badges, visited Lake Valor, Lake Verity, and Lake Acuity, maneuvered through the Galactic Warehouse and Headquarters in Veilstone City, rescued Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, and fought Dialga on the top of Mt. Coronet. It seems that you have a while to go, so once you do that, you can now go to Sunnyshore City and obtain the eighth badge
