I know this has been asked a million times but I still don't understand it. I've got the mystery gift I just can't get it to work whats wrong? P.S any of the three except the friend one is good.

It's for transferring data obtained at Real-life Nintendo special events, usually held in Japan, where they might transfer data such as the azure flute or the eon ticket... Used usually to obtain legendary pokemon...
Other than that, it's pretty much useless...
