Well basically, there are several ways too.
1: go to a official Pokemon event. Then use mystery gift as instructed there.
2:get a wifi addaptor and hook it up to your windows xp. Then use it when needed. Also if you go to a site calld www.serebii.net you can find out when new releases are being held.
3: this is probably the easiest and hardest way there is. You'll understand in a second. This way you obtain it from a friend, who has been to a Pokemon event and obtained a mystery event iten via that way. Thus allowing you to obtain it from him/her
