Shiny rock near Route 224- 225
What does the large mirror like rock on route 224 do, y'know to the left of the Pokemon league, because I don't know what it does and

When you get Oak's letter (Nintendo event) shaymin will appear and it's a legendary Pokemon at level 30.

Its a rock that activates when you get Oaks letter which triggers the event with Shaymin, which is a legendary pokemon.

There's no significance to it, in-game. However, if you obtain the "Oak's Letter" by cheating or actually attending a Nintendo Event, which are currently only held in Japan and won't be held in the United States for a while, going back to the white rock will trigger a surprise.
Professor Oak will be waiting by the rock to tell you something, but I don't know what he tells you. In any case, the important fact is that a path will appear behind that White Rock, and Shaymin will pop in, and then disappear. Professor Oak... Well, I don't know what happens to him. Anyway, follow the path to eventually run in Flower Paradise, which, judging from pictures I've seen, is quite full of flowers. Amist somewhere in Flower Paradise is a level 30 Shaymin.

It is affected by Oak's Letter which leads to the Shaymin event. The rock virtually summons Shaymin mysteriously and opens a path to flower paradise where shaymin is found and can be caught.
