The first time you visit Mt. Coronet? You're kidding me, right? ...Start over.
Go to Oreburgh City, and go down and then to the right. Talk to Cyrus, and then keep heading right. Use Rock Smash on those boulders, and exit the cave.
As you can tell, you need the first badge and HM06 Rock Smash, first; but in order to get into the cave, you could already tell those were required.
