You might think I'm dumb for not knowing this but how do you breed pokemon?

Put Pokemon in the day care center one male one female (or any poekmon and Ditto)

The Pokemon that is breed will be the female

If the man outside the day care center says 'They prefer to play with other pokemon...' the Pokemon will not breed

The time a egg is produced depends on the amount of steps you move so run around and use the poketch app breeding centre checker to see if a egg has appeared when it does talk to the man out side the centre again to get the egg

To hatch egg you must have the egg on your team and agin will hatch after a certain number of steps

You have to go to Celestic Town and the Day Care is there.I suggest using a Ditto and what ever Pokemon you wish to breed.I hope this helps.

Well lets start with the basics. You need a male and female. Lol I'm sure you knew that much. But even that stipulation can be avoided. You look to see if the two Pokemon are in the same egg group, because if they are they can breed. I suggest viewing serebii.net for a comprehensive list of Pokemon and their egg groups.
If the two are in the same egg group they are capable of breeding with each other. It may sometimes be pretty weird the Pokemon that are capable of breeding. The resulting egg will always hatch to be the same species as the mother and has a chance of recieving eggs from the father if it happens to have certain moves. When you get the egg it will take a while too hatch unless you apply a few tricks. The eggs hatch based on the number of steps you have taken and if you have a Pokemon with the ability flame body or magma armor the number of steps will be cut in half. So I take out my bike and my magcargo and ride up and down cycling road until it hatches. If you can't find two Pokemon in the same egg group of you get stuck with a male of a rare species you can use a ditto to make an egg. It will always egg up being the Pokemon who isnt ditto. However keep I mind certain Pokemon are not capable of being breed, usually legendaries or other weird ones like starmie, metagross or claydol.

You basically leave the pokemon in the breeding corner then you just go about, the more steps you take the quicker you will be able to breed.

Well, it all starts off with: what Pokemon you're breeding. First of all, the two Pokemon need to be compatible with eachother. An easy to figure this out is through common sense. For example, obviously a Starly will not be able to breed with Goldeen, however Sneasel can breed with Buneary. A more reliable source of finding out which Pokemon is compatible with what is the serebii pokedex (http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/). As you can tell, there are many ways to find a certain pokemon. Look for the Pokemon you're looking for, and at the bottom of the page is a drop-down list with all the Pokemon that this Pokemon is compatible with breeding with. Keep in mind that there may be more than one drop-down list on some Pokemon, therefore they are compatible with more Pokemon that others. Also, that two of the same Pokemon WILL be compatible with eachother.

Next, you need a female and male Pokemon who are compatible with eachother. Keep in mind when selecting which Pokemon is female, and which is male, that the resulting Pokemon between these two Pokemon will be the same Pokemon as the female pokemon.

Now, with the female and male Pokemon who are compatible with eachother, go to Solaceon Town, and go in the Daycare Center. Give the male and female Pokemon to the old lady, and walk around for a bit. After a while, the old man outside the Daycare will be standing in a different position, signifying that your Pokemon laid an egg. Accept the egg from him, and walk around with the egg. Eventually, the Pokemon egg with hatch, and as I've mentioned earlier, the result with be the same Pokemon as the mother (the female pokemon).

How you breed Pokemon,is you put them in the daycare,on the game,but the thing is you can't breed legends,and you have to find two pokes that will breed,because some times when you put two pokes in the daycare they don't breed,so you have to put the right ones in there. Also there is more about breeding then just putting them in there, like you could put a certain poke in with another poke, and when the egg hatches that poke could have learned a new move from his mom or dad. So yeah there is a lot of good things about breeding.
