It's not a problem. You see, that face means that it did get Pokerus.

Pokerus works by doubling the amount of EVs it gets from a battle. While a Pokémon has Pokerus, it can spread it to the other Pokémon within the party. Up until Diamond and Pearl, if a Pokémon got that face symbol, the effect wore off. Since then, the face symbol means simply that it is no longer contagious.

Getting Pokerus involves battling and capturing/defeating a Pokémon in the wild containing Pokerus. However, if you need to re-encounter Pokerus, it is highly rare. According to serebii, the chance of a wild Pokémon having Pokerus is 1 in approximately 21,000. That's a .004% chance of finding it again if you have no actively contaminated Pokémon.

If you do have a Pokémon still contaminated (this is shown by your Pokémon having a purple box with the letters PKRS placed somewhere on it's summary screen) or if you are lucky enough to re-encounter Pokerus again, I recommend that you keep the infected Pokémon in your PC, taking it out only when you have a few Pokémon that you want to infect. Put it in the party, go out for a few battles, and once the others are infected, put it back in the PC. That will allow it to keep spreading Pokerus to your Pokémon.

Good luck, and happy training!
