There are a couple ways to get a Shiny Pokemon.
You can test your luck and try to find one in the Wild. The Odds of doing this is 1 in 8,000.
You can try to breed a Shiny Pokemon, but the odds still remain 1 in 8,000. However, you can use the Masuda Method to greatly increase the odds. To do the Masuda Method, you must put two Pokemon from the same Egg Group but from different countries into the Pokemon DayCare.
You can also obtain a Shiny Pokemon by Trade or an Action Replay Code.
