How is a Pokemon affected by Pokerus?
I never got one (at least I think so) but I've heard it has some good effects.

Pokerus is very rare. Some Wild Pokemon have it and some don't. It's all about chance. You may never find a Pokemon with Pokerus. It's that rare.
Once you find/receive a Pokemon with Pokerus, you can spread it to your other Pokemon by having your Pokemon Level-Up with the Pokemon that has Pokerus in your Party.
