You are only able to explore the Unova Region in Pokemon Black. You cannot explore any other region.
Once you finish the main storyline, you can still do many things. You can play at the Gear Station, attempt to complete the National Pokedex, capture all of the Legendary Pokemon of the Unova Region, find the Team plasma Sages, and train your Pokemon.
Once you do all of this, there is basically nothing left to do.
Hope this helps!
Please look through the Q&A before asking your question. Variations of this question have been asked and answered many times.
No. Never have you been able to "quit" a region. You only get one region per game (except for GSC and HGSS). If you want a different region play a different game.
Only games you are able to go into another region with is GSC or HGSS. There have been rumors about a Rainbow Pass but these Rumors are COMPLETELY FALSE . You can battle the Sinnoh League Champion Cynthia and Catlyin from the Platinum Battle Frontier as an Elite 4 member.
I've read something about Cynthia in undella city!! It says that you have to fight her several times and she will get you to sinnoh.... Rumors as well?? Because I've beat her almost 10 times....
