Question for Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends

Hi, I know this will probably be a really dumb question >< But.. How do I get into the shops and stuff during a walk?? I haven't been able to figure it out yet, because I keep placing the brush thing over where I wanna go but it won't let me go there, Can anyone give me a clue to how to get in? Again I know it's a dumb question

Wen you're planning you're walk,plan it 2 go 2 de entrance of de shop and push it right in until you see a small red dot just outside de shop.
