How do I reset the whole game on nintendogs for the nintendo 3 ds

I don't know if this will work on the 3DS, but it definitely works on the normal DS lite. When the game first starts up and it says either "Nitendogs", or "Nintendo", in the long oval, hold down the right and left buttons on top of the ds, and A,B,X,Y, all at the same time, it will then ask you if you want to delete all data. You then select "yes", and you can start a new game, as I said before, I don't know if this works on 3DS. Have fun!
