How do you start a new game I've tried L,R,A,B,X,Y and it doesn't work also my dog won't respond to me because he has flies and I can't buy any item's to do this.

Read your in manual that you get with the game on how to delete your game.
To start over game hold buttons and then it will ask if you want to delete game. Say yes the turn off and on and your game will have started over.
To delete the your tranier file all you do is press all the buttons at once. Also if your dog has flies tap it's icon to see wheather it ha long or short hair, but the the right shampoo and Voila wash away

When you firdt turn on the game (nintendogs) you have to hold thhose buttons down for a really long time. Do this before the picture comes up with the little dog. It took me forever to learn how to do this so good luck!
Dude I really don't know but you have to do contests to get money and buy the required shampoo and voila! It's clean

When you first open the game, there is a dog running which means it's loading, right away you have t hold the X,Y,A and B buttons at the same time
