In the Underground Sanctuary the cheat states using the Art of Inferno to open the gate, but first entering left or right at the T section. I don't understand what fire panels?

The fire panels are on the map where you see the different shade of gray that you can't get to. One fire panel is lit on each side but you have to light the sencond one on each side with the inferno to open the gate
