Question for New Super Mario Bros

How do you beat the boss in world 3, I keep beating him and receiving the key but then I am put out of the castle. So I do it again and the same thing happens, what am I doing wrong????

I think I know the solution. I think that you hadnt collected all the 3 star coin to proceed on the next level. You will have to clollect 3 star coins
