I am in level 6-1. How do I get through it? I just come up on a dead end.

6-1 is my favorite level, so this will be easy to answer.
Just go straight, basically. Avoid the bullets and koopas and things, and get the star coins if you can. (the first two involve wall-jumping). Once you get to the part with the "bullet tree" (a stack of bulllet fireing devices between two floors)don't go up, because, well, I don't know what's up there. I've never been.
Just go down past a small bullet tree and finish the level.
Remember, don't go up at the bullet tree.
