How do i get through the 3rd level?

I am stuck in what looks like the Aztec era part of the game where you have to find numbers and symbols then random single items? Its driving me potty as the lighting on this particular part is dusk?

One of the most common complaints in regards to Nintendo DS hidden object/seek and find games is that it is too dark to spot the items. This game has a settings menu under the option menu where you can brighten the color setting so that you can spot those pesky hidden items in the dark levels of the game.

This level is called the sacrificial altar, you can use the search spell as long as you have enough eyes and gems (frogs and feathers). If you're stuck, pause the game and quit to menu. Replenish your eyes and gems and then continue the level. The numbers and arrows are hidden in the ideograms/symbols in the wall paintings or the sculptures.

You need to cast the spirit sight spell if that doesnt work or doesnt let you use it, the straw is in the top left hand corner above the mantel of the statue thing on the left hand wall.
