Question for Metroid Prime: Hunters

I'm stuck on the planet after that first thing(whatever it is) and I can't get past that eye ball thing at the end. Can someone tell me how to.

If it's the 2nd planet your on alinds, to defeat the "eye ball" which is acctually called a slench, you have to make sure that you have a few energy tanks and lots of ammo expansions, also you need to remember to skan it at the beggining.

So to the action, just jump and move about and fire at the tenticles and when it comes off the wall and floats about you hanve to hit it(preferbly in it's eye) and keep doing it untill it dies.
