Question for Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet

I am stuck on level 3. The level is called asteroid m,the rom is 4,2. There is three ground buttons but there is only 2 characters to hold them down. Please help as my son wont leave me alone.thanx.

I just bought this game for my 3 year old today. I watched him use the Invisible Woman and held down the Y button for a second or 2 until a large transparent cube appeared! He was able to place it automatically upon it's initial appearance , or use the Hulk to pick it up and move it manually to one of the 3 green buttons on the floor. Then he made the 2 playable characters he was using stand on the 2 other green buttons, one character on each button. I guess he switched between characters with the x button and/or choose different character by holding the x button for a second or two.

What I did was use the box in another place as far in current level I could so I could grab in the other room and did that until I got to the room
