How do you beat elder shrooboid, I've been stuck for 1 month?

I found him easy. For round 1, whale on him with ice flowers. When he trips, use trampolines and copy flowers to shave down his last HP. In round 2 on your turn, Elder Shrooboid trips, so you can use trampolines and copy flowers. As the timer goes down, hammer with Mario to reset the clock if the ship is above you, and if the ufo is above your foe, hammer with Luigi. All there is to it.
