You don't have to beat dark bowser. When Dark Bowser does the falling boalder attack, punch a boulder into his mouth and he will be KO'd. Then the dark fawful bug will make him huge and you have to punch him in the stomach. Dark Bowser will spit out dark fawful bug, and you inhale it. Your inhaleing has to be super powerful because Dark bowser will start inhaleing too. Once dark fawful bug is inside bowser, you take away it's legs and eyes, and he will fall into the ground. Use the falling star attack on the dark star until it goes up again or dies. I haven't beat this boss but I know because I saw a video.

It isn't punching the boulder in his mouth, it is taking him down by about 1,000 hp or there abouts, then the dark fawful bug thing comes and heals him, than you punch the big dark bowser in the stomach. He will spit out the dark fawful thing, and you need to inhale it. If you can't do it by just pressing X, press both X and Y at the same time. That increases the suction power. (That works for anything, not just the final boss) Then have mario and Luigi take down the core by destroying the eyes, then the legs of it. Then you attack the actually core until it is either destroyed or comes out of bowser. If it leaves bowser, repeat the whole sequence.
