To do a power-slide turbo boost, first, you need to drift. Do this by holding R while turning. Then, you press the button the opposite direction you are turning. You should see blue sparks. Repeat this. You should see yellow/orange sparks. Let go of R. BOOM! You just did a power-slide turbo boost.
