That's because they aren't satisfied by you. They think you ask them too much but aren't friendly for them in return. You have to built a relationship. These are the ways to get him to do favors again:
1)Ask them how they are everyday. BUT ONLY ONCE.
2)make a lunchbox and give it to them as a GIFT (don't say: eat this)every day
3) It must not be too cold in the cave, There must always be a fire
4) make sure they don't have rotten food in their bag
5) keep them well fed and healthy

If you do this, in a few days or a week, they will be more cooperative.
