How do I blow stuff up...because I need to raft down river to get my cherry blossoms but there are rocks in the road??!! Thanks for any help

You maneuver around them using the arrows. Quit/save the game before each attempt until you get it down. When you're prompted by the blinking arrows always choose "right" four times then "left" once and you should land in the cherry blossom area.
