I've tried to ask claire to make rope but she always says no I don't really feel like it... Then when I ask james to get me food or something he'll normally say no wya but sometimes he will do it but please I need help thanks

Like lost in blue 2, you have to talk with them and get them to have a better friendship with you. The better it is, the faster and better quanity of supplies. Maybe try asking the question "What's new?" at least once a day.
