Question for Lost in Blue

Hi I'm trying to catch animals with a large trap but it isnt working!!!
Whenever I find an animal I slowly follow it to see where I think it's going but it always just goes in a random pattern, and whenever I place a trap it just walks round it!! PPPLLEEEEAASEE is there anyone that can help me with this I'm REALLY stuck.

This took me a while to figure out too. What I do is put a lage trap near the cave. (The cave that enters the grass lands) Don't put it too close.
Then, after the trap is placed, go back into the cave. Then go back out to the grasslands. Keep doing this till you see an animal in your trap. Be warned, It takes VERY long for and animal to get stuck, so leave food for Skye and bring food with you if you want. Hope this helps.

Well actually you have to find the animal but instead of chasing it get as close as you can then hit it with an arrow. If you persistently put up a bunch of large traps and shooting each animal with an arrow eventually one (or some) will get their neck caught in the traps and then you can get right up next to it and hit it with even the lowest grade arrow and hit it consistently and then it will fall down and you get to eat it and take the lard. If you do this each day your traps won't disappear and you can keep getting more and more and more until you catch a bunch.
